Your newsletter and your resource library, in one Ghost theme.

Signal Library is for publishers who send a regular newsletter and also keep a growing collection of guides, templates and tools. Readers get a clean archive of every issue and a library they can actually search and filter.

The Signal Library resource library page, filtered to the Guides category, showing a keyword filter, category buttons and resource cards labelled Free, Members and Paid.

Built for newsletters that come with a library

If your best content lives in two places — the weekly issue and the evergreen guides your readers keep coming back to — most themes make you choose which one to feature. Signal Library gives each its own home.

Newsletter creators

A date-led issue archive with paid and members-only issues clearly marked.

Educators and coaches

A library of lessons, checklists and templates, organized by topic.

Niche publications

Curated tools and references that sit alongside your regular writing.

What it does

The full resource library in a grid, with category and access labels on every card.

A library readers can search and filter

Tag a post #resource and it joins the library. Your normal tags become categories automatically.

  • Filter by keyword as you type
  • Category buttons built from the topics you actually use
  • A “Free only” toggle for new readers
  • Shareable links to a category, like /library/?category=guides
  • Ghost’s own site search in the header

An issue archive that reads like one

Tag a post #issue and it appears in a clean, date-led archive. Every issue ends with links to more issues, so readers keep going.

A paid resource page showing a paywall message: the rest of this resource is for paid subscribers, with Subscribe and Sign in.

Free, members and paid content, clearly labelled

Built on Ghost’s own memberships and subscriptions. Cards and posts show Free, Members or Paid, and the paywall tells readers exactly what they are unlocking. Signed-in free members are offered an upgrade instead of a sign-up.

Logo, accent color and Ghost’s brand fonts, plus settings for labels and homepage sections.

Accessible

Skip link, keyboard-friendly menu and focus states. Scored 100 for accessibility in our Lighthouse tests.

Lightweight

No outside scripts, no tracking, no build step. Scored 95–100 for performance in our tests.

How it differs from a standard Ghost theme

Most Ghost themes are built around one feed of posts. Some add a newsletter archive; a few add a resource directory. Signal Library is designed around both from the start.
